  • 1 Cup (250 ml) The water Filtered or purified water
  • 1 teaspoon Honey/sugar To taste (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon For aroma and taste
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger (chopped) Useful for digestion
  • 1 Number Cardamom optional
  • A pinch — Lemon peel For refreshment (optional)

  • 1 Souppan / Pot For boiling water, metal or ceramic is better.
  • 1 Measuring spoon For measuring food and teaspoons
  • 1 Measuring Cup For measuring water (250 ml)
  • 1 Strainer / Channi To sift husks
  • 1 Cup / Mug To serve drinks
  • 1 Spoon To stir or add sweetener

Method
 

  1. Pour 1 cup of water into a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. When the water starts boiling, add 2 tablespoons of dried husk to it.
  3. Reduce heat to low and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. If desired, you can add cinnamon, ginger, or cardamom at this time.
  5. Turn off the stove and let it cool for 1 minute.
  6. Strain into a cup and remove.
  7. Finally, add honey or sugar.
  8. Drink hot or lukewarm.

Notes

Always make husk coffee with food-grade and clean coffee grounds.
Using too much husk can make the taste bitter.
Do not boil for more than 5–7 minutes.
Husk coffee is low in caffeine, but avoid excessive amounts.
